As Twitter hits its stride and emerges as a juggernaut in social media, the top users on the site are distancing themselves from the pack. The race to 1,000,000 followers will be achieved in a few months by some accounts. With such strong followings, many new or inactive Twitter users may not think that there are top accounts that will follow them back.

On the contrary, there are many. In fact, many users with tens of thousands of followers will follow just about everyone back. Some use tools to automatically follow anyone who follows them. I love this incredible 15 minute video.

There are so many lessons in this short movie. There is such an essential need in each of us to have positive feedback from other people. Even if we do not know someone at all, if they say something nice about us it validates our feelings.

Take a few minutes and just see if it has the same effect on you as it did on me. As I age, I realize that we all want to be appreciated and accepted. If we will only seek first to accept and approve others, perhaps they will do the same. As leaders, we need to reach out to them first and bring them into an accepting environment.

If we want validation then we must give validation to others. If we want to people to treat us better then we should treat them better. If we want fulfillment then give fulfillment to others.

This short video has inspired me to keep lifting others up and to never tire of encouraging others.

Biggest observation of the day, month, year - Always!

It's not about Showing The Plan that slows most networkers down. With a little training and a little observation most serious distributors can explain any marketing plan. No matter how simple or complex, even novices can master the presentation in just a few attempts.

Sure, there may be a sequence to follow or some stats to quote or even some facts to memorize but it really it's not hard to follow the upline on the program. My goodness, a lot of companies even have it posted online! A few reviews, a few opens, a few one on one meetings and off you go. Many can even give it a go the first time and present a decent plan. I've seen first time home meetings that are off the hook!

But that is NOT the Problem. Never has been. Never will be.

It's not about showing a good plan.

Just show the plan.

Good plan.
Bad Plan.
Long Plan.
Short Plan.
Exciting Plan.
Boring Plan.
Just show the stupid Plan!

Here's the Real Problem...It's not about Showing The Plan -

It's Who do you show the Plan To??!!

All networkers face this problem at one time or another. They have the right need, motivation and desire. They have all the right tools, materials and literature. They have the plan, the facts and the jokes completely down. But who can they sit down with?

They make a list, contact the list and soon they are out of names. Now they "go" prospecting. McDonalds, Borders Books and Home Depot there they go. Just waiting to find someone to talk to and get them interested in what they have to say.

Great enthusiasm but way too time consuming for the masses to duplicate. Give them an "A" for effort but they will eventually flunk the course. Maybe it worked in the 20th Century but not now. In this day and age they just can not meet enough people in a fastest enough period of time to get the momentum they need.

Two to three hours out of you precious day and maybe you come home with a name? And you don't even know if they are really interested?

Ok, so how do we get more qualified prospects in a shorter time frame?

Already half over and I feel like all I have done is travel.

We've been to LA, Palm Springs, Orlando and back home in just 15 days!

I think we need to retire from being retired!

Lots of things happening and it seems like a classic David and Goliath battle is brewing and we are right in the middle. Yea. "I must of been born for a time like this," speaks my heart.

We are letting the dust settle a bit but maybe I'll give you some of the details later. Just check back next month.

Leadership Notes

Now we are back, settled and ready to expand this business greater than ever before. Here's just some key notes before we leave to go out of town again. Off to Palm Springs for a few days of hot sun and relaxing by the pool.

Conference key notes:

Have to find some mentors: you need mentors for different areas of your life and they all should hold you accountable.

Success leaves clues. Successful people want to help others. "Rather have the crumbs off the wealthy person's table than a banquet from an idiot!"

Failure is not final. There is no such thing as failures for those that have the proper response.

You have to do before you can know.

Leadership is a Team Sport.

Just getting back from a busy month already and off again next week for another vacation. It seems this summer is screaming by.

Finished up with a seminar back east in Michigan and took a lot of notes. I'll post in the next few days some "words of wisdoms" that I found. Nothing like hearing the success basics over and over especially where leadership traits are amplified.

First time to post and it seems like this may be a great way for others to get to know our heartbeat and what keeps us going even though we seem to be financially and emotionally comfortable.

We are Dave and Michelle Lovett and we have dedicated our lives to helping others succeed in their life goals. We appreciate the opportunity to impact other lives and help them achieve what matters to them.

It is unbelievable that we can influence a whole new generation of leaders and will be a part of changing the world in a positive direction.
